Janet W. Practice Manager

Janet spent 10 years working in corporate finance before deciding to pursue a career that aligned with her passion and love for animals. In 2008, she opened a dog daycare and boarding facility in Raleigh and spent the next 10 years developing it into a successful and award-winning business.  After selling the business in early 2019, Janet quickly realized that she missed being around animals and their humans.  She found Companion Animal Hospital and instantly felt at home. The clients and fellow staff members give her the feeling of family she was missing.  Janet enjoys coming to work every day and developing relationships with clients and their furry family members.

In her free time, Janet enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their pets, Lexi Lemon – a sassy and opinionated Rough Collie, Dingus Khan – her sweet old man cat, and Pippa Pipsqueak – a spunky and talkative tuxedo cat. Janet and Lexi spend a lot of time hiking the trails both here in Raleigh and in the mountains. They are also a registered therapy dog team with Pet Partners.  Janet also enjoys riding her motorcycle and gardening.
